Mechanical Systems Engineer - Bridgend- 6 Months


Job description:
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Systems Engineer with a world recognised aerospace company.

You will be responsible for the design, application and integration of the systems aspects of projects, ensuring that all functional, performance, reliability and safety requirements are satisfied.

The successful candidate will:

- Hold responsibility for the design of aeronautical actuation systems.
- Interface with the customer on all aspects of the system design especially specification.
- Apply systems engineering expertise to develop optimum design solutions that satisfy the customer whilst retaining commercial viability.
- Generate sub system and unit level specifications from the requirements derived from the system design activity.
- Generate system design definition documentation to describe the design solution and the rationale behind it.
- Provide requirements to ensure complete project demands are met from both the customer and internally, including the generation of validation and verification compliance statements.
- To produce test plans in support of integration and system verification.
- Review validation and verification evidence to judge whether the design / implementation satisfied the requirements.
- Produce systems engineering planning documentation to define how the systems engineering activities of a project will be controlled.
- Proposal writing and management.
- The ability to perform top level analyses is beneficial. This typically includes systems trade studies, performance calculations, Fault Tree - -- Analysis and functional level Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
- Understands broad concepts of system design
- Ability to translate complex technical customer requirements and stated preferences into design solutions

Due to the nature of these projects it is essential that you are eligible to hold a UK SC clearance.
