Heating Engineer


Job description:
Established in 1980, our client is a privately owned company with their corporate headquarters situated on the Southern approaches to Wrexham. Employing over 300 people and operating from a modern custom-built complex, the company's products
are used worldwide.

Working from their Aberdeen headquarters they have an exiting new vacancy for an Pipefitter/ Heating Engineer
Job function
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the pipe system layout, installation, repair and modification within the plant.
- Main duties and responsibilities.
- Fabricate pipe systems to specification, using tools such as saws, cutting torches and pipe threaders and benders.
- The installation of pipe systems etc using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
- General installation of plant and equipment including assembly, positioning and mounting of process plant.
- Maintain pipe systems and related machines and equipment components. measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading. inspect and test installed systems and pipelines.
- Identify suitable locations for pipe system installations.
- Isolate systems when required.
- Install, set up and commission piped control systems and auxiliary equipment. Fabricate, assemble and install duct work.
- Disassemble redundant systems.
- Test pipes, joints etc for leaks.

Skills
Qualifications/ Aptitude
- Must be time served heating Engineer or Pipefitter
- Desirable: ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related subject
- Desirable: Knowledge of maintaining and servicing rotational machines, including manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Knowledge of pumps and general rotational equipment.
