conduit gives a big boost to part time jobs in cardiff

"Conduit UK, a company who specialise in providing outsourced call centre services, will add many more part time jobs in Cardiff in the next couple of years. They will also be adding hundreds of other job openings in various parts of Wales and the UK in ge"

Conduit employs around two and a half thousand staff in the UK at the moment but reckons it can take that figure closer to the five thousand mark by the end of 2011. The growth of the company is being driven by the success of current contracts with the likes of Vodafone along with new business with clients such as Sky.

Currently the company employs around two thousand staff to work in full and part time jobs in Cardiff and Swansea, but it hopes to eventually double its total employee base in the UK in the next two years. A considerable number of those new part time jobs will massively increase the total number of Conduit’s workforce in Wales. Indeed, even during the financial crisis, the company has managed to up its Welsh workforce by one thousand employees.

Managing director of Conduit, Neil Evans, recently said that the demand for outsourced call centres was highly competitive but at the same time sent a warning that cost efficiency and excellent customer services were simply not enough for the sector anymore.

Highlighting this point Evans said that, “To become a strategic long-term partner to global brands such as Vodafone, significant investment is needed in staff skills, business analysis, process improvement, reliable and innovative technology, detailed industry expertise and understanding. The overriding approach is a relentless focus on the client’s business, and on making it better.”

In praise of the company’s Welsh staff he also added that he was, “delighted to say that we have the calibre of workforce in Wales that can deliver this kind of service, and that is why we’re still bringing jobs to Wales at a time when the economy generally is facing some pretty tough challenges.”
